Embracing Our Land Revolution: Collective Mural Painting Workshop

Embracing Our Land Revolution: The Launch and Painting Workshop

Join us at Spitalfields City Farm for a nourishing community event featuring food, painting, growing and dreaming. This summer, local artists and residents of Tower Hamlets have collaborated to create our mobile arts installation - a trailer that will tour the borough, and be a representation of our dreams for an alternative food system. Run by The Blueprint Architects, a Tower Hamlets based food justice collective.

Through building this trailer, we asked ourselves, what could our kitchens and corner shops look like in Tower Hamlets by 2050 if we had a community-led food system? This event is to celebrate the launch of our arts installation tour and land campaign, titled Embracing Our Land Revolution. This campaign is the physical manifestation and follow-up to our two publications, Seeds for a Revolution and Recipes for a Revolution.

There will be a collective mural painting session led by artist Fawziyah Rahman, where you will have the chance to paint and add to the story of the trailer. There will also be delicious Palestinian food (first come first serve), seed bomb workshops, and dreaming sessions. All the family are welcome!

Come also to meet our collective, The Blueprint Architects, and find out how you can get involved. We hope to see you there!
